My Kids’ Spring Break

Last Monday, my son sent me a text message from my mom’s phone. His text message was full of emojis and a short sentence, “Hi mama, I am bored.”
After his text message, I planned some activities for both Ibrahim and Iness (Pronounced Inas.)

Pretend Picnic:

My kids and I played pretend Picnic. It was fun! My kids invited their stuffed animals and dolls, and this play activity made them busy for a little while.
In fact, this activity has a lot of benefits, it helps children to develop their imagination, and exercise their brains. Pretending to eat and drink requires imagination. My kids had to imagine that their Plastic pizzas are real, and that they are really feeding their stuffed animals.
Imaginative play is a step towards fantasy play, which involves children playing together and taking on different roles.
Improves coordination: From around twelve months, toddlers learn to hold three objects at once. So if your child is holding two toys, one in each hand, and you pass her a third, she will no longer drop one of her items, instead, put one of them in the crook of the opposite arm, then take the new object with her free hand. Making a point of passing your toddler a third item will encourage and develop this skill.
So, let you kids play, imagine, and have a lot of fun!

Play Dough:

Play dough is available in toy shops and supermarkets. The simple method for kids to enjoy play dough is to show them how to roll it into balls and worms, then have fun squeezing and playing with the dough. This may be all they want to do at first, but once they get used to it, then you can progress to using a rolling pin and pastry cutters. You can make all kinds of shapes, and it will be a good opportunity for kids to learn different shapes.
Benefits: Playdough has a calming effect, the sensory act of squeezing the dough through their fingers may help to relax.
Teaches about shapes, making a triangle or a star will teach your toddler about different types of shapes.
Improves dexterity, rolling and cutting will help to develop your toddler’s fine motor skills.

Do you like my play dough caterpillar? 😉

Banana Snowmen:

This is a fun recipe, and your kids will love the different 👀 of their snack.

Ingredients:

2 Bananas.

Strawberries.

Chocolate sticks or pretzels sticks.

Cake decorating candies.

How to:

Cut the bananas into thick. slices of banana on each chocolate stick followed by a strawberry hat.

Gently press the candies into the banana slices to create eyes and the buttons on the body.

Cut one other chocolate stick in half and press each one half on the sides of the banana snowman to create hands.

Serve immediately, and let your kids enjoy.

Make Your Own Burger:

Listen, we know kids are going to beg for a burger every once in a while. So, when it comes to fast food, I prefer to make it at home with my trusted ingredients. I don’t take my kids to fast food restaurants, and I do my best to offer them the healthiest food. In fact, I know that one day, they’ll go with their friends to fast food restaurants, but at least they’re getting healthy food during their childhood. How about you moms? Do your kids eat fast food?

Gardening:

Gardening can offer kids to learn the life cycle process, by which plants are grown. Introducing kids to gardening is a great way to increase their awareness of where food comes from and the importance of the environment. Allow your kids to touch the dirt, water their plants, and watch their plants grow everyday.

Share with me your spring break activities. 🙂
