Making Gingerbread Houses

Making gingerbread houses with kids is so much fun!

One tip I’d like to share with you is to glue the gingerbread parts together (with icing) early in the morning before kids wake up.

Ones the houses are ready, let the kids have fun and decorate them.

As for the candy, you can put anything in the gingerbread house that you think it will be fun to decorate with.

My sweet boy

One of the reasons why kids love decorating their gingerbread houses is because half of the candy goes on the houses, and the other half gets eaten.

My kids reminded me of the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, one was Charlie, and the other one Veruca. You should watch that movie! That’s another fun activity to do with kids during winter break.

You also need icing in order to glue the candy to the gingerbread houses.

I hope you have fun making your gingerbread houses. we did! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to leave me a comment.

Happy Holidays!
