Orlando/Florida Vacation – Star Wars

After an eventful morning, we reached Florida, where the weather was perfect for swimming. With the temperature soaring to 80 degrees, I couldn’t resist the allure of the swimming pool. Despite not being a swimmer myself, I always enjoy taking my kids to the pool, lounging on a pool chair, and delving into a magazine or book.

The following day we went to Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. My original plan was to arrive there at 7:30 am, but since everyone was exhausted from catching an early flight the day before, nobody was willing to get up from their beds.

We arrived at Disney Hollywood at 8:30 am, but the entrance line was very long. We had to wait for 30 minutes before finally making it inside. Luckily, I had planned the entire trip and had all the destinations written down in a small notebook along with a pen.

Additionally, I had the Disney App on my phone with all the wait times for each game and directions.

We went straight to Star Wars and spent four hours there. If my daughter hadn’t wanted to see Frozen and Mikey Mouse shows, I would have stayed there all day!

Star Wars Galaxy Edge: It is an area located inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, FL (there is also a Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland in California.

Rise of The Resistance: a next-generation attraction that truly puts you inside the Star Wars universe.

That was my favorite one.

Millennium Falcon: is best described an interactive flight simulator. Very popular! The wait time was 75 min when we got there.

You’ll be assigned one of three roles during your “flight” (pilot, gunner, or engineer) and you’ll be prompted to push buttons/steer during the ride. It was fun!

Stormtroopers:

They can challenge you with questions if you are wearing customs like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, etc. They thanked my son for his loyalty because his Darth Vader’ s T-shirt. 😂

We met some characters from Star Wars but not a lot. They go in and out randomly.

Planet Batuu:

I really enjoyed wandering around the land and getting a bit turned around. I walked into every open door, sometimes having no idea what was inside.

The theming inside the restaurants is excellent so I’d suggest sitting in there if possible, but there is some seating outside as well.

The food is made to look very exotic (what you would expect in a distant outpost) and in my experience was outstanding.

Star Wars was a wonderful adventure.

To be continued…
