In The Casbah of Algiers – Door-to-door

During the Ottoman era, nobles used horses for transportation. To avoid dismounting to knock on doors, they placed the knock handles high.

Additionally, there were large and small doors.

I gazed at the door with great curiosity, pondering about its history and the lives of its past inhabitants.

I walked and stopped at each door, whether from the Ottoman era or the French occupation.

As I sat in contemplation, I found myself pondering a profound question:

Will future generations, a century from now, pause at our doorsteps, intrigued by the history and stories that linger within its walls?
