Prague was never on my travel bucket list. I’ve always had other countries and cities in mind—places I imagined visiting one day—but Prague??? simply wasn’t one of them.
And yet, last night, I dreamed I was there.
It was one of those vivid dreams where every detail feels real. My family and I had just landed, taken a taxi to the hotel, and suddenly there I was—happy and excited to be in Prague, even though in real life I’d never planned to go.
In the dream, all I wanted was to wander alone, walking through random streets, discovering little cafés or beautiful corners along the way.

The streets were narrow, lined with colorful, charming houses. Everything felt warm and inviting. Just like the photos above. My brain can’t comprehend how this was possible in my dream.
At some point, I found myself inside what looked like a palace, walking down a grand hall with tall golden pillars on both sides. At the end of the hallway, a beautiful garden opened up. I reached for my phone to take a picture, but a woman stepped right into my view.
I politely asked her to move so I could take a photo, but she refused, saying she had just started a meeting. Suddenly she was sitting at a desk with a laptop, right there, blocking everyone’s view. I remember thinking, Why would someone choose this exact beautiful spot for a meeting?
Eventually, I made it to the garden anyway. I walked around, took photos, and saw my kids running happily through the greenery. Everything felt peaceful.

When I woke up, I kept wondering why I had this dream. Maybe it was simply an escape—a quiet getaway from everyday responsibilities and the constant hustle of real life. A beautiful place my mind created, even if only for a night.
Dreams aren’t real, much like many of the things we quietly long for but never quite reach—places we hope to see, moments we wish could last, or even people we love yet choose to admire from afar, wishing them happiness even if it isn’t beside us. Still, dreams have a way of leaving something behind. This one left me with a gentle curiosity, a lingering feeling that some paths, places, or emotions might still be waiting to be discovered.
So now, Prague has officially made its way onto my travel list.
Who knows what that dream was trying to tell me? Maybe there is something waiting there for me to discover. And maybe one day, I’ll walk those streets for real, not just in my dreams.
That’s wild! You indeed need to go there 😎
