Roads of Life…and Songs

When I read some bloggers posts, I sometimes agree with what they’re saying and sometimes I don’t agree. I respect and appreciate their writing and thoughts anyway! There is one blogger who reminds me of my dad (very sharp and honest,) and some other bloggers remind me of myself, my mistakes, my disastrous decisions, and guilt.

Just like bloggers, some singers remind me of places I’ve been to, wonderful people I met long time ago, and memories.

The Red Light:

I stopped at the red light. I looked to the left side at an arborist trimming a tree. He looked like Ed Sheeran. I am not a big fan of Ed Sheeran, maybe I like one song! Funny how some people look alike. So, I snatched my phone and I searched the similarities between this guy and the British singer, and you cannot believe what I found, “Musician Ed Sheeran has revealed he is on a mission to plant ‘as many trees as possible in a bid to offset his carbon footprint.”

So funny! I think some people do not just look alike, they even think alike! Great minds think alike.

I Was Lost:

Sometimes the most scenic roads in life are the detours you didn’t mean to take” – Angela Blount

What happened when I thought that the road I took was a shortcut? I got lost. That was not the first time that I got lost. I was lost many times, I took roads full of bumps, cracks, and obstacles. I took those roads alone, no one helped me, nobody. Everyone I knew in my life was busy with his/her own life. Some of them were happy wherever they were, and some were struggling just like me. Sadness, disappointment, and fear.

The road of life is long with terrifying drops on either side. A lot of ups and downs. The road of life requires a lot of patience.

It’s like a marathon, makes you cry! Sometimes you have control and sometimes you do not. Ultimately, it leads you somewhere. – A friend’s quote

“Because the greatest part of a road trip isn’t arriving at your destination. It’s all the wild stuff that happens along the way.” – Emma Chase
