Orlando/Florida Vacation – Drama and Embracement

The drama and embracement I created.

This picture was taken 30 min before landing to MCO Airport

It was a hectic morning when my family and I arrived at the airport for our early flight at 5:45 am.

The atmosphere was bustling with people, and the lines were long at customs. As we were going through the process, I glanced at the officer’s clock and saw that it read 5:30 am. That’s when my heart started racing, and my palms became sweaty. I quickly realized that we were running out of time to catch our flight.

Without wasting another second, I turned to my family and told them that we were late for our flight. I urged them to put on their shoes and get ready to run. I took charge and led the way, running as fast as I could through the crowds of people.

As I ran, I looked back at my family and saw that they were struggling to keep up. My son was the fastest runner and was ahead of me, with the rest of the family trailing behind. I shouted to him to stop at gate 13, which he acknowledged with a thumbs up before continuing on his way. He looked just like Kevin from “Home Alone,” running frantically to catch his flight. 😂

When we finally arrived at gate 13, I checked my watch and was surprised to find that it was only 4:30 am. We were an hour early! I was embarrassed and apologized to my family for my mistake. My son, who was out of breath and exhausted from running, couldn’t believe it and he said, “Are you kidding me?”

Well, let me blame the officer…his clock was incorrect, which caused all the commotion.

And let me be clear, I needed coffee. It was too early for me to think. LOL 😝 🤦🏻‍♀️

To be continued…

Home Alone
