I was planning to talk about the Super Bowl—the good and the bad aspects of it. I wrote about it, saved it as a draft, and then moved on. Why? I need to discuss something else to clear my head.
Am I happy? Really?
There are personal issues and social events that feel heavy to bear. Yet, I keep reminding myself, “The world is vast; if you’re not satisfied here, then consider moving.”
But then a counterargument arises within me: “Hold on. You have cherished memories here. There are beloved places that stir your soul, and you have experienced love and connection in this very space. So, why the desire to leave?”
I am not moving anywhere, but I am sick of all the current events, the atmosphere, the malicious messages regarding race and the “we don’t care” attitude.
I can’t deal with selfish people. Unfortunately, some of them are my family. I keep avoiding them, let them talk to the walls.
But then I have to remind myself that in life or work, I can’t give out. I can’t be defeated.
“You can’t give out what a game requires if you start focusing on its ridiculous aspects. I only knew that there are no final victories in sports. The game just keeps going, and the only final victory you can have is to walk away from that last game intact.” – Bill Russell

Nice quote from the Celtics great! Let’s focus on the positive (I know, it’s often repeated), but if more people do this, then there will be a collective positivity! 😊
